BEST PLACES TO VISIT

  1. Datta Mandir / Lendi Baug:

Lendi Baug, located a distance from Gurusthan, has a special significance in Sai Baba’s life. Baba himself diligently nurtured and cared for the garden, planting trees regularly. Each early morning and afternoon, Baba would visit Lendi Baug to rest under the shade of a Neem tree. He dug a two-foot-deep trench beneath the tree and lit the area with a deep earthen lamp. The Nanda Deep, a marble structure with a permanently lit lamp, honors this location. Neem and peepal trees border the Deep Griha, adding to the peaceful environment. Next to Lendi Baug is the Datta Mandir, which is the Samadhi of Baba’s beloved horse, Shyamsundar. Legend has it that Shyamsundar would bow in adoration beneath an Audumbar tree located nearby.

Despite its initial state as an old mosque, Baba transformed it into Dwarkamai, showcasing the unity of God. Inside, there is a picture of Baba along with a large stone that he often sat on. Additionally, two wooden receptacles known as Kolamba, where Baba held the Bhiksha he acquired from the village, and a grinding stone he used are housed here. The sacred fire (Dhuni), lit by Baba, also burns perpetually within these walls.
